MAX FOR LIVE
Patches
M4L, short for MaxForLive, is a bridging version of Max/Msp inside Ableton Live.
With the use of M4L it is possible to create custom music devices / plugins for audio and visual creation and processing as well as midi manipulation inside ableton live.
I'm creating M4L patches for my own workflow and on demand for custom needs and artists.
MODER4RTNET & 4V-DICT4TOR
2022
Those two patches I made for the MODERAT - MORE D4TA tour.
The MODER4RTNET patch is basically a updated an advanced version of the ART-NET patch i did for MODESELEKTORS - WHO ELSE tour but with access to the full range of all art-net universes and other new improvements. It is used to sync the lighting desk to Gernots ableton system on stage.
The 4V-DICT4TOR is a result of long talks between Krsn (MODERAT & MODESELEKTOR video Artist) and me. Instead of using the TDableton patch (comes with Touchdesigner) with its actual-python-version-demanding behaviour (because is uses the ableton control scripts), I wanted to get rid of TDableton and use a genuine M4L patch and its API capabilities to talk directly with touchdesigner at the video desk. This also opend up a lot of new possibilities.
DOUBLER

Intentionally made for simulation a second doubled guitar track with lazyness control.
Works on other signal sources too.
MELODY DIALER

Playing melodies with a knob. With included scaler and repeat mode.
TRANSPOSE OVERRIDE

Altering incoming midi notes in pitch to store and recall up to 4 presets. Perfect for repetitive basslines, live perfomances and improvisation.
PARAMETER JUGGLE

Store up to 4 snapshot of any mapable parameter in live and juggle between them.
RIFF TRANSPOSER

Store up to 8 snapshots of transpositions and fire them thru a scaler. Perfect for riff transposing.
SETLIST NAVIGATOR

Tool to create and easily edit backing track setlists for abletons arrangement view. With setlist import and set length calculation.
DNZR TIMEWARP

Custom tool for Fewjars Felix. He sometimes uses ableton to check long podcast recordings for content and mistakes. Now he can speed up or slow down those long recording in Abletons arrangement view.
